Lifua field is located in Block 0 – offshore Angola, in approximately 200 feet (61m) water depth, 5 miles (9,3km) Southwest of the Takula Field, 23 miles (42,6km) from the shoreline and 29 miles (53,7km) from Malongo Terminal, in Cabinda.

Lifua A development consists of one stackable template structure (STS) wellhead platform with 6 (six) producer wells and 4 (four) water injection wells.

The Lifua A STS is an unmanned wellhead platform. A Normally Unattended Installation (NUI) is remotely operated. There is no processing equipment on the STS:

  • 3 phase production is sent to the existing facilities via a subsea pipeline for oil / gas processing. The oil/water is exported to the Malongo Terminal via the existing 30” diameter pipeline;
  • Water injection is provided from the existing facilities (TWIP);
  • Power is supplied from the existing facilities (TGPP) via a subsea power cable.

Lifua A control room is based on GS-Mike (Gathering System Mike), where dedicated operators are controlling the facility. Lifua A products are transported via a subsea flowline to GSM, the existing platform in Takula area, for processing.

General Services provided by SACOL on this project:

Audit services as a legal requirement for official issuance of Operating License, including the issuing of a report on Commissioning and Start-up activities of the Lifua A Development, located offshore on Block 0 – Angola.

1 – Chevron/CABGOC documentation reviewed:

  • Basis of Design (Platform & Pipelines);
  • Project Quality Management Plan;
  • Detailed Project Schedule (Load-Out / Offshore Campaign / Commissioning / Start-Up);
  • Inspection and Test Plans;
  • Project HSE Plan;
  • Load-Out and Marine Transportation Procedure;
  • Emergency Response Plan.

2 – Project activities witnessed and audited:

  • Lifua A STS Platform Mechanical Completion (PDM & DDM), at Malembo yard in Cabinda – Angola;
  • Lifua STS Load-Out operation, at Malongo assembly area in Cabinda – Angola;
  • Drill Deck Module (DDM) and Production Deck Module (PDM) Load-Out, at Malongo assembly area in Cabinda – Angola;
  • STS Offshore Installation, offshore Block 0 – Angola;
  • Fire & Gas System Commissioning, offshore Block 0 – Angola;
  • Emergency Shutdown System Commissioning, offshore Block 0 – Angola;
  • Risers & TUTA Tie-in, offshore Block 0 – Angola;
  • Commissioning & Start-Up prior to 1st Oil, offshore Block 0 – Angola;
  • MODU Commissioning, offshore Block 0 – Angola;
  • Wellhead / WI Tree Installation, offshore Block 0 – Angola;
